How much does it cost to have VEEP come into my classroom?
It costs VEEP about $500 every time we visit a school. VEEP covers much of this cost through fundraising, and, thanks to our generous supporters, we’re able to work with schools regardless of their ability to pay. Still, many schools do make a contribution to support our work -- and to ensure this resource remains available for others. You can help! Use the button below to make a tax-deductible donation today.
Does VEEP offer different programs for different age groups?
Yes we do! In the descriptions for all of our in-class programs and energy curricula you’ll see a suggested age range. They tend to be pretty wide, from Grades 5-12 is a typical range. VEEP Energy Educators are skilled at customizing the material to make it suitable for a wide range of ages. We’re happy to make suggestions for appropriate programs based on your needs, just contact us.
How do I schedule a presentation?
It’s easy to schedule a presentation in your classroom. Just go to the contact us page and fill out the form. Our staff will be in contact with you by email to learn more about your need and schedule a presentation. We handle all requests on a first-come first-served basis.
How long are VEEP programs?
VEEP has a range of programs that require different amounts of time to complete. In-class presentations are typically 90-120 minutes. A Solar Challenge takes 3-5 workshop sessions over a couple of weeks. A Green Schools project can take as long as six weeks, with regular weekly meetings.
