Admin & Kits Coordinator

for the Vermont Energy Education Program (VEEP) and New Hampshire Energy Education Project (NHEEP)

Position description

Help keep us organized! The VEEP’s Admin & Kits Coordinator position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented person looking for a flexible part-time job with a fun team of educators and admin staff.

This person will assist VEEP staff with a variety of administrative duties, including managing databases, as well as assisting the Kit Manager with VEEP’s kit rental program. This person will work closely with VEEP staff on ongoing tasks such as:

  • Database management (Excel/Google Sheets and/or CRM)
  • Researching school contacts and sending out promotional e-mails in VT and NH
  • Tracking VEEP kit rentals and communicating with teachers
  • Building and maintaining equipment in VEEP kits
  • Invoicing
  • Generating thank-you letters
  • Supporting grant proposals and reporting
  • Logistics and support for programs and events
  • Ordering supplies and equipment
  • Data entry

This position requires demonstrated experience, abilities, and skills in the following:

  • Well organized
  • Attention to detail and enjoys detailed tasks
  • Able to manage multiple ongoing tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in use of Google platforms, especially Google Drive
  • Experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) platform (such as Salesforce) preferred
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Able to work well independently and with other VEEP staff
  • Must open and return VEEP emails and phone messages promptly, and keep good records

Schedule and compensation

Work location: Montpelier, VT

This position is part time (20-25 hours/week on average), with potential for reduced hours during the summer if desired. Exact office hours are flexible.

Wage is $14/hour to $17/hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include Simple IRA with 2% contribution and disability insurance. Mileage and other job-related expenses are reimbursed.
