Help keep us organized and help us tell the world about our work! VEEP’s Administrative Coordinator position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented, technologically-savvy person looking for a job supporting a mission-driven organization.
We are looking for someone with a wide variety of skills and the willingness to jump in and get things done.

This person will support VEEP staff with a variety of administrative duties, including managing databases, supporting grant applications and reports, and assisting the Kit Manager with VEEP’s kit rental program. They will also manage communication and outreach tasks and help us strategically tell our story to the world. This person will work closely with VEEP staff on ongoing tasks such as:

Managing databases (Salesforce and Google Sheets) and data entry
Managing the VEEP Website
Creating email outreach, newsletter, social media, and video content

Tracking VEEP kit rentals and communicating with teachers
Checking equipment kits in after teachers use them and maintaining equipment
Ordering supplies and equipment

Supporting VEEP’s financial tasks, invoicing, and recordkeeping
Supporting grant proposals and reporting
Providing logistical support for programs and events

Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Reliable and flexible and able to manage multiple ongoing tasks
Strong writing skills
Strong computer skills including Google Drive, website editing, and experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) platform (such as Salesforce)
Able to work well independently and collaboratively
Knowledge of both VT & NH

Our office is located in Montpelier, VT.
In-office hours are flexible with a minimum of 2 days per week.
This position averages 25 hours per week.

Pay is commensurate with experience with a hiring minimum of $16/hour. Benefits include Combined Time Off accrual, Simple IRA with 2% contribution and disability insurance. We are unable to offer health benefits at this time.


Program Access AmeriCorps VISTA (Full Time) - Montpelier, vt

The VT Youth Tomorrow AmeriCorps VISTA Program is currently hiring for a position at VEEP.

Job Duties:

The VYT-Vermont Energy Education Program Access VISTA promotes access goals in the development, outreach, execution, and evaluation for the following programs: Youth Climate Leaders Academy, Summer Institute, Energy Action Program Institute, and teaching partnerships. The VISTA member also creates systems and processes for targeted outreach to economically marginalized communities. The VISTA member’s service builds capacity and facilitates relationships for youth energy action projects which build economic and environmental resiliency in rural communities across Vermont. Travel: private transportation for meetings, events, and monthly VISTA training in Montpelier. Housing subsidy available. Send resume, cover letter, and contact information for 2 references.

Calling all tinkerers and crafters: Help us with our equipment

Vermont Energy Education Program is looking for volunteers to help us build and assemble kits of materials used to teach energy and climate education in K-12 classrooms in Vermont and New Hampshire. Volunteers should be willing to volunteer at least 3 half days this summer.  We are particularly interested in finding people who enjoy working with their hands, have skills in assembling, crafting, or building, and are organized and good communicators.
