Professional Development Workshops

A professional learning for teachers that integrates energy literacy, and the three-dimensional learning of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

This 5-part virtual series of 100-minute sessions is meant to be an accessible learning experience for those educators hoping to suit up and prepare to take action on energy or climate issues with their students. Together we explore the question, "How will we, as educators and learners, reduce greenhouse gas emissions through sustainable and just solutions in our schools and local communities?"

VEEP/NHEEP can tailor our work to meet your professional learning needs. We can come for a teacher professional learning day at your school or district, provide training for a whole department or select groups of teachers, or work with pre-service teachers, student teachers or other educators looking to learn more about climate and energy, student-driven learning, NGSS and PBL.4-8 PD hours.
