Fair Haven Unified High School received a small grant for their horticulture and local food systems study. They focused on a greenhouse, raised beds, beekeeping, and orchard maintenance. The project included purchasing beekeeping equipment to further a study of pollinators, local plants and biodiversity.
Rutland City Schools, Allen Street Campus received a small grant through VEEP/NHEEP. With this grant, they purchased a LED grow table and other energy efficient supplies for growing plants indoors during cold months, reducing waste and energy usage while addressing food insecurity and teaching students about local food systems.
